The project entailed the addition of classrooms, administrative offices
and lobby space. The project required a new hydronic heating system
and variable air volume (VAV) air handling systems. The design incorporated
a direct digital control (DDC) automation system, a new plumbing system,
two 400,000 Btu/h gas-fired domestic water heaters, a fully automatic
sprinkler system, site lighting, classroom lighting with whiteboard
light controlled via occupancy sensors and a new fire alarm system.
