The design for the Rockwell Hall addition includes classrooms, group
studies, office spaces and a system infrastructure to support smart
classrooms, equipped with power and data connections at student desks.
Design features include new HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
and new electrical systems for the building addition. The design also
includes integration of A/V functions with IT and lighting control,
lighting and lighting controls, Conduit and Raceway for security access
control and CCTV surveillance and provides for the installation of
direct digital controls (DDC), communicating with the campus automation
system (Johnson Metasys).
The new addition will also utilize campus steam and chilled water
distribution for heating and cooling.
