This project is an addition to the existing Rockwell Hall to support the Minor in Business degree program. The facility is located on the west side of Rockwell, with a second level enclosed bridge to provide internal circulation between the facilities. This 2-story building contains high tech classrooms, student team rooms for collaborative learning, conference/meeting rooms and allow for future growth of computer labs. The new addition also includes classrooms, group studies, community lounges and office space.

SBEC's mechanical and electrical scope consisted of the following:

New 63,000 cfm variable-air-volume (VAV) air handling system;
Low-flow plumbing fixtures including ultra-low-flow urinals for water conservation;
Wet-pipe fire sprinkler system throughout building;
Demand controlled ventilation for reduced energy consumption;
Electrical system infrastructure to support smart classrooms, equipped with power and data connections at student desks;
Fire alarm;
New electrical systems for building addition;
Integration of A / V functions with IT and lighting control;
Design provides power and data inputs for LCD directory and scheduling panels;
Conduit and Raceway for security access control and CCTV surveillance;
Lighting and lighting controls; and
Installation of direct digital controls (DDC).
