SBEC is the Mechanical Engineer of Record for this project which consisted of the addition of 6,000 GSF to this existing three-story facility, as well as the renovation of 15,000 GSF.
Taylor Hall is predominantly comprised of administrative offices, classrooms, faculty offices, computer labs, as well as a 500 seat auditorium and 130 seat theatre in the round complete with a theatre control room, scene shop and storage areas, locker rooms, laundry and lobby with ticketing and concession area. Taylor Hall currently houses the Communication, Theatre and Music Departments.
SBEC’s scope of work consisted of the complete mechanical systems design including:
Hydronic heating;
Three air handling units;
Paint room exhaust;
Submersible sump pump;
Domestic hot and cold water, waste and vent; and
Automatic fire sprinkler system.
