SBEC engineers designed the 1,350-ton chiller plant for this university high-rise biomedical facility. The design provided for 1,000 BHP steam service from central plant and plate and frame heat exchanger to provide 250 tons of process cooling. Primary/secondary pumping systems were provided for heating/chilled water. The design also incorporated an RO/DI water plant with recirculation and 5,000 gallon storage.
